The Partners of Andersons LLP visited Kinross Campus to present a cheque for £2,627.49 to the local “Rock Challenge” group. Andersons’ staff have taken part in a range of endeavours over the year and also organised Andersons’ Annual Quiz night, which was excellently supported by many local businesses, to raise the money. Stacey McNab, Principal Teacher of Guidance of Kinross High School, received the cheque from Lorna Miller and Stewart Baillie of Andersons. Also present were the Chair Persons for the 2017/18 Rock Challenge campaign, Ailish Hunter, Georgia Chick and Charlotte Page. Details of Rock Challenge can be found here www.rockchallenge.co.uk. This is an excellent local group which all at Andersons have been delighted to support and we wish the group continuing success.

On the 1st December 2017, a new Private Residential Tenancy agreement or “PRT” will come in to force meaning a change to the way in which residential property is let in Scotland.
It will no longer be possible to grant the familiar six month short assured tenancy agreement with all new residential leases now being PRT’s. The new PRT hopes to make tenancy agreements more flexible, easier to understand by both landlords and tenants and provide increased clarity and security for both parties.
One of the main changes is that the new PRT will contain no duration and have no end date. The lease will continue indefinitely until it is either brought to an end by the tenant wishing to leave the property or by the landlord using one of the eighteen grounds available to them.
The new PRT will only affect those who enter into a new tenancy agreement from 1st December 2017. Those who are in current short assured tenancies will continue under the old rules.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

The red carpet was in evidence as the crème de la crème of Kinross-shire’s high society dusted off their finest attire and congregated in The Windlestrae Hotel for the Andersons’ Annual Quiz night. Well maybe not, but almost 150 good folk turned out once again to support this great fun night and to raise a few pounds to boot. Hosted by the outstanding, and highly recommended, Quizzical ( Mike and Elaine Spain), the evening flew by with an excellent buffet from Windlestrae’s kitchen providing some much needed sustenance for those who were making the most of the bar service.
This year’s project was the Kinross High School Rock Challenge and an excellent presentation about this most worthwhile cause was given by Miss Stacy MacNab, Principal Teacher of Guidance at KHS and included a video of the group’s recent performance Happening Now, an 8 minute piece reflecting the struggle of innocent refugees from war torn Syria. A wonderful performance if you ever have the opportunity to see it.
On the night the Quiz winners with a near perfect 102 from a possible 110 points were the topically named ‘Can we play our joker yet?’ They certainly played their joker at the correct moment. An excellent team and very worthy winners setting a notable benchmark for future years.
Our proceeds from the night added to our own Rock Challenge (scaling Ben Nevis) gives us a running total of around £2500 which will help this outstanding local cause continue to put on high quality and polished performances.
Details of Global Rock Challenge and it’s ‘parent body’ the Be Your Best Foundation can be found here. http://www.bybf.co.uk/
There are too many to thank for the organisation that goes into such a great night but we would like to note our thanks to all the firms (mostly local) which supported us with vouchers, other raffle prizes and of course special thanks to Quizzical. We have listed the firms below.
Thank You from all The Team at Andersons
