A busy start to 2018 at Andersons

Despite the inclement seasonal weather the property market in Kinross-shire came to life early in the New Year. Some 20 sales agreed or concluded in the month is a positive indication that another busy year is in store. We also have carried out more pre-sale valuations than normal and have a very healthy number of new instructions in the pipeline. The number of new registrations on our mailing list for Kinross-shire properties is at record levels.

Quite often there is no one reason why the market is busier or quieter at any given time but there are a number of coinciding factors at this particular juncture. Firstly we have a number of clients gearing up to market their properties with a view to upsizing during the year with many new developments in the area due to complete in the coming months. Part exchange may suit some but many want to control their own sale and (in the current market) maximise their sales price and be in a strong bargaining position when buying. One significant reason for increased enquiry levels is undoubtedly the improved public transport links via the Forth Road Bridge. Hopefully all goes smoothly from now on! A larger proportion than ever of our mailing lists currently have Edinburgh postcodes and from a house selling perspective it is important that we stress the benefits of Kinross-shire living to these prospective purchasers. Andersons, of course, are very much involved in, and with, the local community and are always willing to promote the benefits of living in this great area.
