Despite the inclement seasonal weather the property market in Kinross-shire came to life early in the New Year. Some 20 sales agreed or concluded in the month is a positive indication that another busy year is in store. We also have carried out more pre-sale valuations than normal and have a very healthy number of new instructions in the pipeline. The number of new registrations on our mailing list for Kinross-shire properties is at record levels.
Quite often there is no one reason why the market is busier or quieter at any given time but there are a number of coinciding factors at this particular juncture. Firstly we have a number of clients gearing up to market their properties with a view to upsizing during the year with many new developments in the area due to complete in the coming months. Part exchange may suit some but many want to control their own sale and (in the current market) maximise their sales price and be in a strong bargaining position when buying. One significant reason for increased enquiry levels is undoubtedly the improved public transport links via the Forth Road Bridge. Hopefully all goes smoothly from now on! A larger proportion than ever of our mailing lists currently have Edinburgh postcodes and from a house selling perspective it is important that we stress the benefits of Kinross-shire living to these prospective purchasers. Andersons, of course, are very much involved in, and with, the local community and are always willing to promote the benefits of living in this great area.
As always we will have a number of marketing initiatives over the year, more details to follow. We will once more be organising several charity events for our local charitable cause and details will soon be available on that too! If you are contemplating buying or selling in 2018 why not give one of our property team a call and start planning your future.

We received a lovely photo from the After School Club to let us know they have now allocated the remaining balance from our fundraising efforts of 2016.
It’s great to see the funds being spent on such fun equipment, we’re sure all the children and staff at Kinross After School Club will have lots of fun enjoying their new toys! Thanks for keeping in touch, from all at Andersons.

The Partners of Andersons LLP visited Kinross Campus to present a cheque for £2,627.49 to the local “Rock Challenge” group. Andersons’ staff have taken part in a range of endeavours over the year and also organised Andersons’ Annual Quiz night, which was excellently supported by many local businesses, to raise the money. Stacey McNab, Principal Teacher of Guidance of Kinross High School, received the cheque from Lorna Miller and Stewart Baillie of Andersons. Also present were the Chair Persons for the 2017/18 Rock Challenge campaign, Ailish Hunter, Georgia Chick and Charlotte Page. Details of Rock Challenge can be found here www.rockchallenge.co.uk. This is an excellent local group which all at Andersons have been delighted to support and we wish the group continuing success.
